Brightree has enhanced Mobile Delivery offering in the face of the pandemic to better support needs of HME providers and post-acute patients
“Especially in this unprecedented time, we know it is more important than ever to support HMEs in providing safe, reliable, and timely service and care to patients” said Rob Boeye, Brightree’s executive vice president of home medical equipment. “With seniors and other post-acute patients with pre-existing conditions particularly vulnerable to the virus, we have made significant changes to our Mobile Delivery module, including support for contactless delivery, to ensure that patients have been able to receive their medical supplies safely, drivers are as protected as possible from disease risk and HMEs can continue to enjoy accelerated billing during this challenging economic time.”
Brightree helps HMEs manage their business needs from order placement and shipping to signature upon delivery. By eliminating paperwork and providing wireless sync to track deliveries, Mobile Delivery helps HMEs optimize productivity and get paid quicker through accelerated billing and collections.
As the pandemic shifted the needs of HMEs and the patients they serve, Brightree made significant updates to its Mobile Delivery module in the early days of the crisis to provide new tools essential to doing business during COVID-19, including enabling contactless delivery, photo proof of delivery, and remote driver management. With the pandemic forcing more businesses and patients to lean on delivery, from March-June 2020, Brightree has seen a 21% year-over-year increase in new providers adopting its Mobile Delivery solution. Providers who have already implemented and benefited from the technology are expanding their use as well, with a 40% increase in users from existing customers over the same period, showing the growing importance and popularity of this technology.
Overall, providers who use Brightree’s Mobile Delivery module see a 50% or more savings in paper expenses and are able to reduce their Days Sales Outstanding by 8 days or more on average, while eliminating lost delivery and pickup/exchange tickets and increasing order confirmations, without adding any overtime.
These critical functionality updates to Mobile Delivery have helped HME providers streamline their delivery management and maintain their position at the forefront of a rapidly changing environment, while ensuring their patients continue to receive critical medical equipment, supplies and services throughout the pandemic.
“We know HME providers are continuing to work exceptionally hard to meet the needs of patients during this challenging moment,” said Boeye. “We are proud to offer updated tools to help them better do so and grateful to be recognized by HME Business for our team’s innovative work through this unprecedented year.”
